The Company:
Our client is a distinguished Educational institution with a reputable presence based in the heart of London. They are seeking a Venue Sales coordinator for a 10-month fixed-term contract. This role requires a proactive and dynamic individual who can thrive in an extremely fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity to support the growth and success of our diverse venue portfolio while playing a key role in delivering exceptional client experiences.
The Role:
- Handle enquiries with professionalism and efficiency, conducting venue tours and providing timely follow-ups on potential leads.
- Proactively promote in-house services, such as catering and audiovisual equipment, while coordinating with external suppliers to meet client requirements.
- Take ownership of event planning and execution, from contract agreement through to successful on-the-day delivery.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including catering, AV, and facilities, to ensure seamless event operations.
- Contribute to the success of sales initiatives and actively participate in networking opportunities and promotional activities.
The Person:
To apply for this role, you must have strong proven Sales and Events experience that has been gained within professional services. The below skills are also required:
- Ability to perform under pressure and prioritise workloads.
- Proven Sales and Events Background: A track record of success in a sales, events, or hospitality role, showcasing your ability to manage client relationships and meet revenue targets.
- Event Management Expertise: Hands-on experience in planning and delivering events, from the initial contract stage to seamless execution on the day.
- Customer-Focused Approach: Strong customer service skills with the ability to conduct professional show rounds and follow up on client inquiries effectively.
- Upselling and Negotiation Skills: Experience in promoting and upselling services such as catering and audiovisual (AV) solutions, while liaising confidently with both clients and third-party suppliers.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Sales Initiative Involvement: Involvement in sales-driven activities, networking events, or promotional campaigns to support business growth.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
